Promise: An art show exploring promise givers and receivers

  • The old Orient Point Methodist Church 1395 Village Lane Orient, NY, 11957 United States (map)

Promises birth hope.  We believe because someone has given us reason to believe.  I’ll be there.  I love you.  I won’t let you go.

Yet.

Every one of our promises is loaded.  Do we keep them every time… all the time?

Our world aches, we ache, from broken promises.  We need a promise that can stand up to the hurt, exhaustion, and division of this world.

More than that, we need a promise that can stand up to death.

Join us for a night of art, music, and spoken word!

Hosted by Dandelion Ministries, a faith-based, art and retreat organization.  We create art to release a deep longing to be loved, and experience a deeper answer that we are every time we do.  This exhibit is inspired by our experience of the grace of God found in Jesus.  “Because I live, you also will live,” Jesus promised his distraught and grieving friends (John 14:19).  Only God could keep that promise and he did.  When God speaks his promise to you through Jesus, he forgives, heals, restores, and gives life that never breaks.
